October in Boise
BOO! Did we get you? If not we hope these next activities get your heart racing! October in Boise is full of pumpkins, gorgeous fall colors, and spooky corn mazes!
We never run out of fun things to do at Linder Farms! There’s a pumpkin patch so you can pick the ultimate jack-o-lantern pumpkin, a haunted Zombie corn maze, pony rides, giant slide, petting zoo, and all of the hay rides you and your loved ones or friends can handle! We might run out of room if we list everything that Linder Farms has to offer but check them out at www.linderfarms.com, it’s only $5 to enter and free if you happen to be 3 or younger.
If a zombie paintball maze isn’t enough to really spook you, you need to check out The Haunted World in Caldwell. Prepare to get the pants scared right off you with ghouls, ghosts, and skeletons oh my! Every year tops the last, and we have to say, we can’t wait to see this year’s hostel asylum in Skullvania or the 35 acres of outdoor screams the Haunted World boasts! Check out Gristle’s scary tale at www.hauntedworld.org
If you just can’t get enough corn maze, the Farmstead’s Jimmy Falon themed corn maze is the right place to get lost! Entering the maze is pretty much like becoming famous, Jimmy himself mentioned the Farmstead’s maze on national television! The Farmstead boasts 20 years of “getting lost,” and we hope they are around for many more years to come. Check out “The Creature” and step into the mouth of a horrific beast, or take a little trip on the Cow Train. Take a trip to paradise on the Corn Cob Beach or do a little farm pond fishing. Check them out at www.farmsteadfestival.com and tell them CORE sent you!
The Old Penitentiary
Every year the Old Penitentiary puts on a night of history and horror with their Frightened Felons night! This year the scares will be on October 28th (Family Night) and 29th (Adult Night). Zombies will dance to “Thriller,” and win a prize for best costume. Make sure not to miss the only haunted cell house in Boise……enter if you dare! It is a great night with food trucks, hot drinks, and adult beverages to enhance your courage! https://history.idaho.gov/old-idaho-penitentiary
We hope we see you out there this Ominous October here in Idaho!
