If you're looking to take in an amazing fireworks show or watch a parade, there are plenty of events happening this Independence Day.

Here is a look at some of the celebrations around the Treasure Valley:

Boise:

Pancake Breakfast

  • WHAT: The Gem State Kiwanis annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast 
  • WHEN: 7 a.m. - 11 a.m. 
  • WHERE: Julia Davis Park next to the Gene Harris Bandshell
  • PRICES: $5 for children 13 and under, $7 for seniors, $8 for adults, and $25 for families. Current active duty military members and their families get in free.

Liberty Day Parade

  • WHAT: "We the People" Liberty Day Parade
  • WHEN: 11 a.m.
  • WHERE: Parade begins at 10th and Jefferson, travels east on Jefferson to 4th Street, turns south on 4th, travels to Bannock Street, turns west, and travels back to 10th Street.

Fireworks Display

  • WHAT: 10th annual fireworks celebration
  • WHEN: Approximately 10:15 p.m. 
  • WHERE:  Expo Idaho
  • The fireworks show will be synced to music on 107.1 K-HITS.

 

Meridian:

  • WHAT: Meridian's Independence Day Celebration
  • WHEN: 3 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.                                                                                                                 3 p.m. - Event begins with inflatable toys and food vendors available in Storey Park. Zack Quintana Trio begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter. 5 p.m. - Soul Patch begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter. 6:30 pm - Meridian Speedway races begin. See the raceway website admission prices and race schedule. 7:30 pm - Simple Ruckus begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter. Dark (10:15-10:30 pm) - Fireworks show
  • WHERE: Storey Park

 

Caldwell:

Parade

  • 9 a.m. - Patriotic Parachuter from Skydown Idaho flies the American Flag to the first hole at the Fairview Golf Course to begin the parade.  Once the parade is over, the fun begins at Memorial Park.

Events and activities at Caldwell Memorial Park

  • 10 a.m - 2 p.m. - Van Slyke Museum Tours
  • 10:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremony
  • 10:30 a.m. - Caldwell Fire Department "Wet Zone"
  • 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Vendor booths, car show, bouncy houses
  • 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - JessAnn & The Lightning River Band
  • 11:50 a.m. - Most Patriotic Bike Contest (at park band shell)
  • 1 p.m. - Apple Pie Eating Contest (at park band shell)
  • 1 - 6 p.m. - Caldwell City Pool open free of charge
  • 2:30 p.m. - Car show winners announced

Fireworks Display

  • Dusk - Fireworks show at Brother's Park near Caldwell High School

 

Emmett:

  • WHAT: 4th of July celebration  
  • WHERE:Gem Island Sports Complex. 
  • WHEN: 8 p.m. - Vendors, food & drinks, dunk tank, face painting, skits by EHS drama students, and entertainment.
  • Sundown (approximately 10:15 p.m.) - Fireworks display begins
