There's "snow" place like home. This is the theme of the 2018 McCall Winter Carnival! The event runs from January 26th through February 4th. This iconic winter carnival draws in over 60,000 visitors to McCall each year and it's pretty obvious why that is! Throughout the town, you can view all of the incredible snow sculptures. The Idaho Snow Sculpting Championships are held in Depot Park starting on Tuesday, January 30th with the final judging that Friday.
You won't want to miss the spectacular fireworks show on the opening day. The show starts at 7:00 pm over Lake Payette. If you do miss it, you will get another chance to see this amazing display for the closing ceremonies on Friday, February 3rd.
On Saturday, January 27th, the Mardi Gras parade takes place from 12:00 pm -1:30 pm through downtown McCall. The Carnival Vendor Court will be up and running during the weekends so you can stop by for a bite to eat and check out a wide variety of handcrafted items.
From the parades, snow sculptures, winter sports, ice skating, music, crafts, food and fun, the McCall is jam-packed with fun and has something for everyone! For a full list of events and to view the carnival schedule, visit McCallChamber.org
