Meet Zena! This sweet girl is ready to find a home!

It's hard to resist this bundle of joy! ZENA is a 2-year-old, 60-pound spayed female Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix. You simply can't help but fall in love with her and her wiggly self. She is a strong, athletic dog who is always ready for a new adventure. She has a tendency to pull when she’s excited, so future adopters may want to invest in a harness. Zena is house-trained and rides great in the car.

Zena loves people and does very well with strangers. We think she has the potential to be a great family dog, but her size and energy may be a bit much for toddlers and young children. During playgroups at our shelter, she had no interest in other dogs and was much more comfortable hanging out in the corner by herself. Zena will be happiest in a home where she is the only animal.

Zena has been in and out of our shelter since August 2018. She was returned to us in early December, and has been in our shelter ever since. We would love to see an experienced, dedicated owner give Zena the forever home that she deserves.

If you’re interested in adopting Zena (#39481305) she can usually be found in Kennel 408. However, she has been experiencing some kennel stress so she may be in a separate location where she is spending one-on-one time with a shelter staff member. Please ask our shelter front desk staffers for assistance and they’ll point you in the right direction!

You can find more information about Zena at idahohumanesociety.org.
